Approximately halfway along the walk a delightful area of cool waterhole and Riverina vegetation communities. This walk requires a medium to high level of fitness with some strenuous sections.
Guides use the magnificent landscape to illustrate the Tjukurpa that have shaped the land and lives of the people that live here. This includes creation stories where ancestral being journeyed across the land creating features as they went the exploits of Kupparru the Australian magpie, is one such story. The high escarpment is a great vantage point to discuss the arrival of early explorers and settlers and the effect they had on the lives of Luritja people.

The Creek walk is shady and gentler than the Rim walk, better suited to family groups and the less able or energetic. This walk meanders along Kings Creek ending at a lookout point, then returns by the same route. It can be rough underfoot, so sturdy footwear is essential.
Guides present a more intimate experience with the focus on food gathering, making tools and weapons, kinship, language and other customs. At several points along the track interactive demonstrations will be given and visitors encouraged to join in.
This is a great learning experience especially for families or school groups.
