Outside Hermannsburg Tea Rooms
Hi, my name is Heidi Williams and I am the manager of the Hermannsburg Historical precinct & the Kata Anga Tea Rooms. This is the site of the 1877 Lutheran (German) mission. The Heritage Precinct consists of 16 remaining buildings and a cemetery on 2.5 hectares of land, protected under the NT Heritage Conservation Act 1991. The listing of the Hermannsburg Historic Precinct on the National Heritage List also emphasises its importance. Come and visit us and have a cuppa, apple strudel or scones, or even lunch. Wander through our buildings and wonder at the perseverance of the original missionaries, go on a guided tour of the Precinct with an Aboriginal guide .
